I’m an embalmer so I use Universal Precautions whenever I’m handling human remains…..gown, head/foot covers, double gloves, mask, goggles as well as ventilation to the outside to keep fresh air circulating in the room. For my own safety, I treat every remains as if they were highly infectious. It only takes one careless mistake to become a statistic.
Routinely I keep disinfectant wipes in my car and I use them to wipe shopping cart handles, door knobs in public washrooms. All fruit and veggies are thoroughly washed when I first bring them home and I’m very careful with hand washing and keeping my fingernails clean
