Natural Yeast Infection Remedy My Mom Found
My mother has always been susceptible to vaginal yeast infections. She would often go to the doctor to have her problem treated. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, her yeast infection always seemed like it would go into a temporary remission only to come back later on in full force.
My mother, despite her strength, had almost given up on her battle with her yeast infection until she encountered a few natural, yet inexpensive, solutions for treating her yeast infection.
The solutions that my mother found for treating her yeast infection included using yogurt, garlic, and oil of oregano.
My mother discovered that the yeast in yeast infections caused by a type of fungus. As it happens, fungus and bacteria are actually natural enemies and both have evolved chemicals for the purposes of destroying one another.
The bacteria used to make yogurt are one type of bacteria with anti-fungal chemicals. As such, my mother purchased some plain, unsweetened yogurt and applied in and around her vagina to help treat her yeast infection. This effort resulted in a reduced occurrence in her yeast infections as the yogurt would kill the fungus in her yeast infection.
My mother also found that garlic is an extremely effective treatment for yeast infections. In addition to the yogurt, my mother would also insert a garlic clove into her vagina to provide her with relief from the itching associated with a yeast infection.
She would also eat garlic cloves raw to help her permanently treat her yeast infection and provide her with other health benefits as well.
In addition to eating garlic, my mother would also consume oil of oregano to help end her suffering from yeast infection permanently. The chemicals in oil of oregano are very effective in killing the fungus of yeast infections.
After doing all this, my mother has not been afflicted with a yeast infection for several years. Because of that, my dad says, their marriage is stronger than ever.
