Vaginal Yeast Infection – Stay Away From The Heat!

Summer is one season which can make any person irritable with its persistent heat waves and also no respite from sweating while doing our daily activities. Not all jobs can be done sitting in an air conditioned room throughout the day. We need to go out for various domestic or work related jobs and thus we are exposed to intense heat which leads to incessant sweating.

We can wipe the visible areas of the body when we sweat in public, but how do we manage to dry the unexposed areas, where heat and moisture collects and can cause irritation and itching. The problems assume concern when it happens in vaginal region of women, leading to infections on account of heat and moisture in the form of perspiration.

Women have to take exceptional care of their vaginal region during summer and ensure proper hygiene. It is during summer, they are prone to itching and irritation in the area because yeast and bacteria build up, and severe scratching can lead to further aggravation.

The symptoms of yeast and bacterial infections are smelly discharge from the vagina, itching and burning sensation while urinating. The best way to prevent the infection from getting worse would be to consult the doctor the moment they discover any problem in the area and get the right advice and treatment.

Another way of preventing yeast infection or bacterial infection would be to change the undergarments as soon they get moist and keep the vaginal area clean and dry. We need overdo with the cleaning aspect because that can lead to excessive loss of moisture and lead to over dryness and itching and make the area very sensitive and careless sexual contacts can worsen the situation.

Normal cleaning of the vaginal area and vulva with water and wearing dry undergarments would be sufficient. A little extra care and hygiene will ensure a healthy vagina and prevent vaginal yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis during summer.
